SaaS ERP for SMEs

 


    If you are unsure of what the title of this blog means, you are most likely to be more familiar with the actual activities that are related to this topic. SaaS ERP for SMEs means “Software as a service” and “Enterprise resource planning” for “small to medium businesses”. In a nutshell, it is a software on a computer which simplifies many tasks of the businesses on a digital platform rather than having to go through hundreds of pages of paperwork, calls or emails to get the job done.

    I have gained first-hand experience in the use of SaaS ERP in a fast-paced retail business environment on my work placement which I took upon last year, you can find out more about it my introduction blog. I firmly believe that use of ERP increases the efficiency of the business by a significant percentage, as it simplifies the task of ordering, processing, stock counts, accounting and more. Once everything is on a single platform, it makes it incredibly easy to work once you are trained.

    Upon starting to write this blog, I took a step back and tried to read more about these types of software in terms of business use, unfortunately I was not able to learn anything else that I did not already know. Fortunately, this does not mean that there is no room to expand, improve or build on, it is quite the opposite. We live in a world of rapid change and development, especially when it comes to technology as the sector is growing by the hour and new developments are made daily. This means that as the world progresses in terms of the way we do business, such systems as ERP will have room to improve and change.

    This blog showed how SaaS ERP systems can enhance business efficiency by centralizing tasks like ordering, processing, and accounting onto a single platform, making operations much more streamlined once users are trained which I found very interesting

     Hello reader, my name is Aurimas , I am a 22-year old student in South-East Technological University ( SETU ) on Waterford campus in Ireland.
